EPA lead safe training course is important simply because State and Federal laws are already released for renovation that is applicable to every home and child-occupied facilities constructed prior to 1978.
These regulations demand that contractors and renovators doing renovation, repair, and painting (RRP) projects that disrupt paint within these facilities be authorized in the EPA Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule and observe particular work practices to lessen human contact with lead.
EPA Lead Safe Certification Training Course
To get certification, renovators will need to take an accredited EPA Lead Safe Renovator Course that will show the details of the EPA RRP Rule in the authority of section 402(c)(3) of the TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act) that deals with lead-based paint potential risks produced by renovation, repair, and painting actions that disrupt lead-based paint in target homes and child- occupied facilities, and also the lead safe work procedures.
The ABLE Safety Consulting is an approved training center for initial certification course, which happens to be necessary every 3 years to hold certification.
Activities which have been subject to the EPA RRP rule are:
- Maintenance / Remodeling and Repair
- Electrical Work
- Siding / Window Replacement
Contractors that happen to be instructed to have EPA Lead Safe Training Certification are;
- Renovation Contractors / Home Improvement
